Replacement of Septum and Liner (OCI-2030 NX / OCI-NX U)
Preparation¶
First, set the instrument to a state in which it can be serviced (Maintenance Mode).
- Enter maintenance mode using the workstation.
- Enter maintenance mode using the the instrument monitor. (When the GC main unit is GC-2030)
- Enter maintenance mode using the maintenance button on the instrument. (When the GC main unit is GC-2050)

Procedures¶
Step 1¶
GC-2030¶
Open INJ/DET cover (★1).
GC-2050¶
For GC-2050, do maintenance work without opening the INJ/DET cover. Turn off the power before opening the INJ/DET cover.
Step 2¶
Remove the septum nut ASSY (★2) by turning it counterclockwise, and remove the HT septum (④).
Step 3¶
Using flat-head screwdriver (③), turn the OCI-2030 NX / OCI-NX U liner (②) counterclockwise, and remove it with tweezers (①).
Step 4¶
Using tweezers (①), insert a new OCI-2030 NX / OCI-NX U liner (②), and turn it with flat-head screwdriver (③) clockwise to fix it.
Stop turning the flat-head screwdriver when the liner reaches the bottom. Over-tightening may cause seizure.
Step 5¶
Attach the septum (④), fully tighten the septum nut ASSY (★2) clockwise, and return it one half-turn.
Step 6¶
Close INJ/DET cover.
Step 7¶
Exit maintenance mode using the following procedure according to the relevant instrument, and reset the consumable usage counter.
